COLOUR CHART

Contrary to what some might say, colour DOES NOT affect health! Poor health genetics affect health, not colour DNA.

You may hear some people saying things like those are "fad" colours, or those colours are undesirable. We want to change the views of others by simple education.

Thanks to recent studies in colour genetics, it is now possible to pair a certain sire and dam with unique DNA colour markings to produce RARE colours which are Black Blue, Chocolate and Lilac with combination of tri (white and tan) or tan markings. These pairings come from Purebred British Bulldog lines with 6 generation pedigrees. Some of the pioneer colour breeders began breeding these colours in 1972 which paved the way for us to import and continue to breed today.

Back in the early 1800's it was common to see black bulldogs , and eventually they became less common as they were bred out, however the DNA remained.

Offgrid Bulldogs Breed for Health and temperament FIRST and FOREMOST. All of our breeding dogs carry the DNA needed to produce "rainbow litters". Colour pairings are based on our extensive knowledge of DNA.

We don’t consider these colours to be “Fad” we simply fell in love with these rare gems and slowly introduced them into our breeding programme, which has taken over 6 years to establish from imported UK AND USA bloodlines. We feel it a privilege to share our hard work with you, and let you enjoy these rare coloured beauties as much as we do.
